Cross the Nation Road Trip

Aug. 23rd, 2006, a friend Liu Lei, my husband and I began our advanture from eastern coast to western coast of America. We spent three days to plan the route, rent a car, reserve hotels in 13 cities, get snack. water and grocery, and soon, we are on freeway I-5 heading north.

The trip had been wonderful. We've visited so many places that we have only seen them on the photos before. The foggy Golden bridge in San Francisco; breeze in Lake Taheo; cowboy in Elko, Nevada; canyon along Colorado River; ski fields in suburban Denver; jazz band in Kansas City; the Arch in St. Louis; forest in West Virginia; colonial zones in Williamsburg; famous buildings in D.C.; and skyscrapers and Ground Zero in New York city are all memorable. Here are few photos we took during the journey.

One thing that makes the trip so surprisingly delightful is that we spent no more than US$45 per night for all hotels including Marriott, Holiday Inn, and Homestead Suit. Contact me if you're interested to know the details.
